Some dogs figure out how to give us the feels from the get-go, and they'll do it as long as it garners them attention. Just ask Lavelle, the English Bulldog, who's mastered the art of calling Mom from the home camera in hopes of a response. But this time, he added heartbreaking sniffles for full-on drama.

In the August 24, 2024 TikTok video posted by @lavelle_maslow, the English Bulldog believes he's been left all alone, so he does the only thing that he knows how to do to get an answer: he calls Mom using the home video camera.

"We're moving this weekend," the video begins, "and our Bulldog thought we forgot about him when we left to pick up the keys to our new house."

The 38-second clip shows Lavelle hopping onto the couch to ping the home camera's attention. It's not this cutie's first rodeo. Lavelle has a long history of using this camera to call Mom at work when he's lonely or wants something, and this day it's no different.

Once he looks into the camera with his saddest face imaginable to convey how betrayed he felt to be left alone, he waits for a response. He's very aware that most times he does this, Mom responds (who can blame her; look at him!). This time, there's no response until moments later, when Mom's voice rings through the house. An excited Lavelle jumps down to go greet her.

"The little sniffles & checking the front door I just can't," Lavelle's Mom captioned the clip and the Bulldog's fans feel the exact same.

"Omg, poor Lavelle. I'm coming baby on my way from East Tennessee," one person wrote. "That poor baby
you give him lots of treats and snuggles immediately," another said. "Awww. Give him lots of hugs," another added.

Lavelle is riot and seems to understand how to capture an audience, and we love him for it!

Home Cameras Can Help With Separation Anxiety

It's all jokes when it comes to Lavelle's calls to Mom, but Preventative Vet explains the use of pet cameras can help with "diagnosing, managing, and treating a dog's separation anxiety ."

Cameras—including those on laptops, smartphones or tablets—can establish how long your dog does well while you're gone, and when they've reached a breaking point. This can help behavioral trainers see the patterns and create a plan to fix it and it's helpful since you typically work with trainers online.

There are a lot of camera options to choose from if you'd like continuous recording, but getting to the source of their anxiety is always the best bet. As for Lavelle, we're sure he'll be calling mom again real soon, and we're here for it!
