A kitten became the star of the show after it "crashes" a couple's wedding ceremony with adorable, epic photobombs.

On August 20, 2024, TikTok user Mpix (@mpixfans) shared a video clip from a wedding and an adorable photobomber. Take a look!

In the quick clip , we glimpse a lovely wedding gift from the "cat distribution system."

"When the kitten wedding crasher becomes a part of your family, she deserves to be the star of the wedding album," the text on the video reads as the bride and groom start near a flower-covered archway outside.

It looks like the wedding ceremony was underway when the bride pointed at something and whispered to her husband to look at something further ahead of them in the trees they can hear making noise.

When the groom sees who's there, everyone starts giggling, and the viewer is finally in on what they saw when the couple shares a few of their wedding photos.

It turns out an adorable grey Tabby cat had "crashed" the wedding and made her appearance, and she made her way into some of the wedding photos, too.

"This couple got the sweetest wedding present from the cat distribution system," the video's caption read, tagging the bride and groom.

In the comment section, people thought having a kitten "crash" the wedding was the cutest thing.

One wrote, "One of my friends had a stray dog show up to their wedding. He sat at the end of the aisle and watched them like he knew them, ten years later I’m so glad they found him."

Another shared, "If that isn't a sign from the universe.... I love this!"

Someone else added, "Cats are wonderfully good luck to a new marriage."

In the comment section of the original video the bride and groom shared, we learn that the kitten appearing can be a really good sign.

One explained, "The Vikings would give their brides a cat to honor Freyja. Looks like Freyja personally made sure you had a cat! Congratulations."

Another commenter shared, "A gift from Freyja! Goddess of love and fertility. She drove a chariot pulled by kitties! (My husband is Norse and got me a cat as a wedding gift)."

Their video, posted to Gatsby and Daisy (@gatsby.and.daisy), shared that the bride and groom adopted the kitten who crashed their wedding and named her Daisy.

What Is the 'Cat Distribution System'?

According to Know Your Meme , the "Cat Distribution System" is a phrase that grew in popularity in 2022 to explain "the common occurrence of cats entering people's homes and lives unannounced and inadvertently getting adopted."

The basic idea behind it is that when it comes to cats, people don't adopt cats; cats adopt people. According to USA Today, cats in the "cat distribution system" appear in someone's life typically when they had no intention of adopting a cat.

"When the universe presents you with a stray cat, many people opt to take the furry creature in, foster or permanently adopt it, and the rest is happily ever after," the site explains. "Lore surrounding the 'system' is what turns many a pet-free household into a warm, safe, loving forever home for stray cats and orphaned kittens across the country."
