Senior Dog Shows Doberman the Joys of Embracing Personal Space

Some dogs are more clingy than others. When they are, it can be hard for them to accept that other dogs might not enjoy this level of closeness. However, once they've accepted the reality, they can learn to enjoy having a little space.

At least, that's how it worked out for this beautiful Doberman. His senior houseguest may not have been the friend he initially hoped for, but he's learned to appreciate her for who she is and what she taught him. It can be difficult for a Velcro dog to understand personal space, but Arlo's (@ arlo.dobermann ) houseguest is showing him its potential. He found tiptoeing around this older lady to be a bit boring the first few days, but then, out of nowhere, she began to join him when patrolling the fence line. They also joined forces when it was time to beg for snacks, and they started guarding the stairs like total pros. Now that they found mutual interest, they even hang out together like old pals. Although giving her space wasn't what he was used to, he's found that it worked out pretty well.

Doberman Personality Traits

According to the AKC, Doberman Pinschers are incredibly loyal to their families and form strong bonds with their humans. They thrive on companionship and can be very affectionate. Because of their intelligence, they are easy to train and usually excel in obedience. However, they tend to respond best to positive reinforcement and thrive in loving and secure environments since they are rather sensitive. This beautiful breed is energetic and makes a great companion for those with active lifestyles . They are also protective of their homes and families and, with their high alertness, make excellent watchdogs.

Lol, no lies told here!" Dogs tend to have their own personality traits, just like people. Another person responded, "You are such a beautiful friend. She really needs your closeness. Good job, Arlo!" Indeed. He gave her the time and distance she needed and made her comfortable.

Hopefully, this handsome fellow won't be too sad when his friend returns home. Otherwise, he might beg for a full-time sibling to share his newfound appreciation for space.
