Our pets often choose to nap in the most unusual places. Their peculiar choices sometimes leave us wondering how they ended up in these locations. And if it's an odd spot we find them in regularly, we can't always resist the urge to see how they get into it.
That's why one family set up a camera to observe their Pug's method of getting into a tight drawer. What they saw was worth the effort required to make it happen.

How adorable! When Mom leaves the house, Winnie (@ tubby_puggy ) wants to stay connected to her. So, she thought that napping in one of her mom's drawers in the closet was the perfect solution. But it seemed impossible for her to get inside the drawer when it was closed and filled with clothes. So, they set up a camera to capture how it happened, and it was worth it. This determined little dog first removed a few pieces of clothing before hopping up and burrowing inside. She looked so cozy once she got settled! But when Winnie heard Mom was home, she headed out to greet her.

Why Do Dogs Like to Sleep in Tight Spaces?
Dogs are instinctively den animals and enjoy the safety and security of a tight space away from potential predators. This can also help them retain their body heat, which is especially inviting in the colder months of the year. Dogs with separation anxiety might seek these tighter spaces to feel comforted. In addition to the warm and snuggly space, Winnie may have felt consoled by her mom's scent from her clothes. In order to make my Frenchie mix feel more secure during thunderstorms, I put a dog bed in my walk-in closet underneath my long dresses so she could have a place to hide. Similar to sleeping under the bed , this safe place gives her the solace she seeks.
People were on this charming Pug's side. Viewer @girlintherubynecklace_ responded, "Sorry. But it's not your drawer. It's obviously Winnie's bed. Why are you undergarments in her bed?" Ha! That's a fair point! Viewer @hamilton_burrito_pugs remarked, "Hehe, love this- don't ever empty it though, it's not going to be as comfy!" That's so true. Viewer @gentrydeparis responded, "They are all so weird. All of them. And too cute." That's for sure!
Even if this mom has to clean up her clothes when she comes home, she knows her sweet Pug wants to be with her. That's the highest compliment any pet parent can ever ask to receive.
