Bananas are truly that girl. You can find at least one person who likes a banana at all stages of ripeness, and as soon as they go a little bit over, there are people lining up down the block to use them to make delicious baked goods.

Humans aren't the only ones who love bananas, though; just look at this video. Elephants file in line trunk-first to get themselves a banana from their keeper, and watching them take it is the funniest thing you might see all day:

I am so jealous of @nwiqa9. If my job could include feeding bananas to some elephants, I think I would be perfectly happy forever. Especially if I got to pet one.

The TikTok account is run by someone whose name is not shared, but he works closely with elephants and sometimes posts about the cats he has at home. His most popular videos are of the elephants, though, and most often of feeding them.

Elephants are a universally liked animal for the most part: they're adorable, fascinating, very smart, and completely foreign to most of us. Beside seeing a few elephants in zoos, most people will never get to see elephants up-close or in their natural habitat, which is why people like this tend to do so well on social media. Everyone wants to live vicariously through the people who get to work with these amazing animals every day!

    What Do Elephants Eat?

An elephant's diet is expansive (and expensive, have you seen how big they are?), especially when they're in the wild. As they migrate, they move through hundreds of miles of land and encounter different foods along the way. Based on some of the writing on this profile, the elephants in this video are Asian elephants, which eat a slightly different diet than African Elephants.

Asian elephants tend to s pend all day snacking on leaves, grass, and even tree bark. They also snack on any crops, fruits, or vegetables they can get their trunks on, which include things like sugarcane, mangoes, and yes, bananas.

African elephants eat a lot of the same foods, from grass and tree bark to mangoes, avocados, and bananas. However, it really depends where they are; African elephants tend to encounter larger desert spaces where they have to survive on whatever little vegetation they can find. They will also eat whenever crops they come across, and many farmers consider them to be a bit of a nuisance!

Captive elephants eat a steadier diet, but bananas ring true as a favorite no matter what: they're easy to eat, tasty, and a good sensory experience. You can't go wrong with a good banana, no matter your species!
