Great Danes are some of the sweetest pups anywhere in the world. Though they're roughly the size of a small horse, they're incredibly docile, always willing to cuddle, and a great choice for families.

If you don't believe they'd be right for your family in particular, you need to watch this video posted recently by a dog and toddler mom. The love between her son and his "big sisters" is palpable, adorable, and the best proof of their gentle hearts:

The Oakie Dokie bunch are the sweetest. They look forward to their little routine just as much as their little brother does. What dog doesn't want kisses?!

There are four main characters in this almost-fairytale scenario: mom, Chloe, and her son, Noah, as well as the dogs, Daphne and Millie. Daphne is the one on the right, closest to the camera, and Millie is the cow-print one. Daphne was an only dog for a while, which meant she got all of Noah's attention, but they got Millie about 7 months ago. A lot of their content is actually about what it was like to raise Millie to be a very kid-friendly pup, which is important. Look at how many kisses she gets!

Noah and Daphne have gone viral a few times before for mostly this same reason: they're insanely cute together. When Noah was just a baby, Daphne basically "adopted" him , and since then, they're inseparable. He wakes her up every morning to snuggle, and now Millie too!

How to Raise Big Dogs Around Babies

Whether the dog or the baby comes first, you probably discussed both pets and children at some point in your relationship. If it's time to start acquiring both, it's normal to feel nervous!

Big dogs can seem intimidating to raise around tiny babies, but the truth is that they don't have to be. With a few weeks of proper training and supervision, your dog may bond perfectly with your baby. There are a few main ways to make sure everyone stays safe:

    1. Introduce the two slowly.
    2. Try your best not to allow kisses from the pup, as tough as that may be.
    3. Don't set the baby down around the dog until they're old enough to sit/crawl on their own.
    4. Big dogs don't always know their own strength, so you have to know it for them.
    5. Try to discourage rough play or running around the baby to avoid accidentally knocking them over.

Daphne would never dream of hurting Noah, and so far, neither her nor Millie ever has. Not only has Chloe done an excellent job of raising two gentle giants: she's raised a gentle toddler, too!
