It's easy to hit the snooze when you're too tired to get up. But when you're a walking, barking, puppy alarm clock like Milo the Chihuahua, you get up when he says get up—no snoozing allowed!
An August 28, 2024 video shared to TikTok by @milothegingerchi shows the sassy little Chihuahua doing his very best to get Mom out of bed. It's safe to say, he's pretty darn convincing!
In the video that says, "POV you have the cutest alarm clock," Milo stands at Mom's bedside and "chuffs" with little hops to wake Mom. When she doesn't respond right away, he does it again, moving closer and closer until she's up. The 14-second clip is proof that dog's somehow know it's time to eat!
"The way he just gets closer and closer lol," the caption says, outmatching his bio which says he's a "fluffy ball of serotonin."
Among Milo's near 297,000 followers, many commented in solidarity that they, too, have doggy alarm clocks while others were amused by Milo's tactics.
"He’s like those alarm clocks that get louder each ring except he just waggles closer each puff," one person wrote. "Lol what do you have to do to 'push the snooze,'" another said. "My goodness! Baby would be buzzing all morning with me," another joked.
Milo might be onto something. This is a much better way to start the day than a boring alarm that shrieks. Plus, he's way cuter!

Chihuahuas Are Adorably Sassy
With a big personality packed into a tiny frame, Chihuahuas are universally known to have a bark bigger than their bite. The American Kennel Club describes Chihuahuas as "compact and confident," though training is essential or they'll totally rule the house. Their size means nothing when it comes to protecting their people, getting what they want, or convincing their humans to do what they want!
Like Milo, this is a breed who thrives in nearly any environment (like small apartments), as long as you take care to socialize them properly. They're intelligent alert dogs who train better with a firm but gentle approach, as the site notes they seem to understand how cute they are and use it to get what they want!
The little cuties also have a lot of energy and might demand play time, but that's just part of their charm. Sassy and sweet, Chihuahuas like Milo are about as adorable as it gets—even when they're waking you from the best sleep of your life!
