Golden Retriever puppies are known by basically everyone in the world as the cutest puppies there could ever possibly be. They're the quintessential puppy: images of Golden Retriever puppies are slapped on all kinds of dog merchandise. If you ask someone to name three types of puppies, they're almost certainly going to name Golden Retrievers.

What a lot of people don't see, though, is the fact that Golden Retriever puppies are also the most dramatic puppies in the world. On Monday, September 2nd, one Golden Retriever mom surprised her pup with bubbles in her water, and this queen did not take it well:

Nala the Golden Retriever is not a bubbly water fan. Nothing about it appeals to her, and mom blowing bubbles into her water is punishable by getting her toes attacked while she sleeps, probably.

Don't get it twisted: Nala's mom is not trying to get her to try sparkling water. No, she's just blowing literal bubbles into the water, but as far as Nala is concerned, she might as well be ruining it. As soon as she stops, Nala will demand new water... and that her mom blows more bubbles in it.

As you can hear in the video itself, blowing bubbles makes a very specific noise. If you've never heard it before (and Nala definitely hadn't), it can be a little bit jarring, plus the sight of the bubbles themselves is something new. Unlike other pups, though, Nala is not interested! She wants those bubbles popped at once!

The Easiest Ways to Annoy Your Dog

There are some things that humans do that our pups find insufferable, and we don't even realize it! Whether you're purposely trying to rile up your pup or looking for ways to avoid it, there are a few things that will always push them over the edge:

    1. Blowing in their faces.
    2. Pretending to "get" their noses.
    3. Giving them rough pets very suddenly.
    4. Teasing them with toys or treats.
    5. Chasing them.
    6. Making weird noises.

Sometimes we get bored, and when we're bored, we like to bother our dogs. On many occasions, I have sought out my girl dog specifically because I needed something to do. Even if you do want to play, you should approach them gently and with care - especially if they're sleeping.

Most dogs don't mind being bothered as long as you do it correctly. If they do mind, you'll notice their body language change; you might get some flattened ears or a warning growl. Heed those warnings and try to be nicer - unless you're Nala's mom. She's doing a great job.
