The life of a dog seems like a pretty sweet one, for the most part. Instead of going to work, worrying about the bills, and keeping the house clean, and paying taxes, they simply get to take 10 naps a day, play with their toys, and demand lots of pets from their humans — who wouldn't want to live a life like that? But at the same time, they miss out on a lot of the experiences that humans get to have... unless, of course, things come together to allow them to join us on our adventures.

For example, the one that this sweet dog got to take with his humans. He may not have known a train was a thing that existed before this day, but boy did he love it once he was on one!

In this video from @tommybluestaff , we get to see a Staffordshire pup take his first ever train ride, and the look on his face is unmistakable: he's loving it!

From the very first moment, it looked like Tommy was totally dialed in, even posing for the camera in front of the train with the biggest smile on his face. And things only got better once he and his humans were on board; he clearly loved being able to look out the window as the scenery passed him by.

In fact, there was not one single moment that the camera was on this dog that he did not look like he was having the time of his life. This might have been Tommy's first ever train ride, but I certainly hope it wasn't his last.

One of the commenters who couldn't get enough of Tommy pointed out something very important: "Dogs are living for the first time like us. It’s so cute seeing them going on adventures also."

    Tommy's Train Adventure

The train that Tommy got to ride is the Mary Valley Rattler, located in Queensland, Australia, and offers an upgrade for those with pets to bring their furry friends on board.

Those who take the train with their dogs will ride in a pet-friendly carriage, and pets (and their humans) can even hang out on board and make new friends during their ride, which sounds like so much fun (not to mention super cute to witness).

While most of us probably aren't local to Australia, the good news is that there may be trains in your area that are pet-friendly, too; many routes on Amtrak in the United States will allow dogs as passengers as well.

It might take a little more effort to make adventures like this happen for a dog, but this video is proof that it's always worth it.
