Our pets are always watching us and taking in the things we say and do. Jax the Maine Coon cat recently figured out how to use the ice dispenser just like Mom, and it's too funny!

The September 1, 2024 video shared to TikTok by @jax.the.cat7 shows the little smarty pants tapping the ice dispenser in hopes of getting an icy treat! Watch how he does it!

In the 14-second clip that says, "I just saw Mom get ice from here?!?!," Jax paws at the fridge's ice dispenser repeatedly. He must've noticed how it works and tried his very best to make it work for him. But in the end, no ice came through.

In the more than 14,000 likes, Jax has a fanbase completely impressed with his lever-pushing skills.

"I swear, Maine Coons are humans in cat bodies," one person wrote. "He’s gonna figure it out, and you’ll have 1000 melted ice cubes on your floor," another added. "For the sake of YOUR sanity… do not show him how it works!" another said.

Jax is no stranger to keeping things interesting. Whether he's scaring his little brother, Axxel, or simply existing as the handsome little man he is, using the ice dispenser is just another thing that makes Jax one of the coolest kitties around.

Maine Coon Cats Use Their Paws in Cool Ways

Like Jax, Maine Coon cats have a reputation for having curious, inquisitive, and big personalities. These special felines see the world in all its wonder and take it in like sponges. According to Animal Care Clinic, Maine Coons use their paws in a dexterous way that's unlike other cat breeds.

These intelligent kitties tend to stay lower to the ground, putting more pressure on their front paws, and they will also use their paws to turn on water faucets, doorknobs, to open cabinet doors, or to press the ice dispenser like Jax! They might also use their paws as utensils to scoop food into their mouths or curl their paws around an object to pick it up. Their heavy reliance on their paws makes the things the do a little comical, but smart!

Maine Coons are easily trainable and never lack for the confidence to perform these types of action. The bottom line? These cats sure know how to captivate an audience with their unique skills!
