The history between dogs and mail people runs deep, and sometimes, their friendships run even deeper. Fronky the Mastiff has a special relationship with his new mailman, and it's giving #goals kind of vibes.

In a September 1, 2024 Instagram post by @fronkythemastiff, the gentle giant patiently awaits his special treat from one of his favorite people. Watch their sweet interaction below!

"It’s Angel. He told my mom that he is trying to keep this route as his new route, but he has to wait until it’s assigned to him," the caption reads. In the video, Fronky sits in his fenced yard and waits for the mailman to appear. Once he does, he offers the pup a few treats and a couple solid pets before moving on with his route, and Fronky couldn't be more grateful.

This popular Mastiff has quite the following. More than 163,000 people tune in to see his daily interactions with mail people, neighbors, and more, and we can see why. Though this mailman is new with this particular route, he quickly learned how to befriend dogs like Fronky and the pup's fans are here for it.

"Aww! Look at that. He is prepared for our good boy," one person wrote. "I'd love to see a sitcom or reality series called Fronky and Friends," another person said. "The drool game is real," another joked.

It's no wonder Fronky got more than one treat—he's too sweet!

English Mastiffs Really Love Their People

Fronky is, no doubt, a good boy who knows how to mind his manners with friends and strangers alike. The American Kennel Club explains the Mastiff breed is known to be quiet, patient, gentle but won't hesitate to protect their family. This is because they're loyal and devoted to the ones they love, making them perfect for homes with children who know how to behave around a dog of their size.

Training isn't only an option with Mastiffs , but a must. They're eager to please, however, and will respond well to positive reenforcement and solid eye contact when speaking to them. Since they've served as guard dogs for centuries, early socialization is mandatory if you want a well-behaved pup like Fronky, or they may be wary of strangers (or mail people). Once they know a person, they'll gladly protect them, too.

Fronky and his mailman have a special bond already, and we're excited to see where it goes from here!
