Traveling with pets can be anxiety-inducing. You never know how they'll do with all the changes. However, Two British Shorthair cats named Louie and Todd have mastered the art of traveling with Dad, and their first NYC subway ride was no different.

An early September TikTok posted by @louieandtodd details the kitties' journey on the subway, and it'll leave you speechless. Check them out!

"How good kitties behave in the NYC subway," the video says as Dad carries the two felines—one in a pouch and the other on his back—down the subway stairs. Once through the gate, Todd is shown napping as they wait for the train and then on the train. This is quite possibly one of the loudest paces in the city, so his ability to remain calm and sleepy is astonishing.

In another shot, Todd lies next to Mom while continuing his nap before the clip cuts to both cats hanging with Dad along the way. Both stay so calm and unfazed, it's seriously impressive.

"We always reward them with licky treats for being good boys," the video says as Louie enjoys his treat.

These two rockstars have a major following of more than 77,000 people who adore keeping up with all of the cats' tricks, treats, and travels.

"Not even I’m that calm in the subway," one person joked. "Such perfect little fluffy angels!" another wrote. "It's the kitty on the shoulders for me," another added.

Many fans couldn't help but compare their non-traveling cats to Todd and Louie because these talented kitties set the bar pretty high!

Tips for Training Cats To Do Tricks

Todd and Louie are exceptional examples of kitty training gone right, but anyone can train their cats to do similar things. The Humane Society of Huron Valley explains teaching cats with positive reinforcements and a little patience is all it takes.

It doesn't matter what you're trying to train a cat . It can be to sit, come, spin, or hop on shoulders or any number of things. Whatever it is, use a high-value reward (just as you'd do when training dogs) and reward them immediately when they do as you ask.

For instance, if you want your cat to come to you, call their name. If they listen, give them a treat and repeat. If they don't come right away, practice until they do! They'll only be motivated if you use a reward they really want, so it's important to know your cat's likes and dislikes.

Stay consistent with the pattern and pretty soon, whatever behavior you're trying to train will sink in that when they do it, they get a reward. They're smart, so they'll get it! They might not get to the level Todd and Louie are at, but don't sell them short. Give them a chance to show you what they're made of.
