Flying with pets can go one of two ways: smooth sailing or a total nightmare. Between the people, turbulence, and length of the flight, some pets just aren't cut out for life in the air. This is not the case with British Shorthair cat Louie who set the supreme example of flying high with class.

In a September 5 TikTok video shared by @louieandtodd, the impressively calm kitty enjoys his flight with ease, rivaling the behavior of grown adults! Watch how he handles it, and prepare to be amazed!

"POV: you have a well-behaved cat on a plane," the video begins as Louie is shown sitting peacefully in an airplane seat. He even tucks his paws in to "feel safe and comfy" before drifting off to sleep.

When he awakes, he takes a gander out the window to "enjoy the views." Even after turbulence strikes, sweet Louie retreats to his kitty carrier for another little nap until they land. If this isn't the example of cutesy and demure, what is?

"Louie and Todd both couldn’t be any more calm and respectful on their flights," reads the caption.

Of the more than 740,000 likes, the majority of Louie's followers would give up everything to sit next to such a respectful king.

"I would give him window seat if he asked," one person wrote. "I would pay extra to sit by him," another added. "You have to give him a kiss on the forehead, little polite guy deserves it," another said.

Others noted how their cats would do the exact opposite of Louie lending itself to hundreds of hilarious comments.

"My cat has an exorcism every time she is in a car. When I had to move cross country and bring her on a plane, she was PERFECT. Slept like baby. No drugs needed. Like what?!" one person explained.

"My cats would scream the whole time. That’s what they do in the car," another shared.

"Our vet gave us calming pills and we used calming sprays and she still went feral," another joked.

Not all cats can be as "purrfect" as Louie, but he's giving all cat parents hope!

British Shorthairs Make Great Travel Companions

While it may not be fair to compare most family cats to Louie or his brother Todd, PetMD explains British Shorthair kitties can make good travel buds due to their personality and temperament.

These felines are personable, though they don't meow for attention, so they can remain fairly quiet during long trips. They also don't require. an excessive amount of attention, despite being so cuddly and pleasant.

Adaptable, gentle, and independent are hallmark traits of British Shorthair cats so whether you're going on a plane, in a car, or boat, they'll be just fine.
