Dogs are kind, gentle, empathetic souls. They always seem to know when we need comfort, and they don't hesitate to give it to us. Chilaquil the Golden Retriever must've learned this early on because now he knows exactly when Mom needs him most.

In an early September TikTok video shared by @goldenchilaquil , the Golden boy gives his pregnant mom all the pool snuggles and it's the most heartwarming thing ever. Take a look!

In the clip that says, "Chilaquil through my whole pregnancy," the sweet pup rests his head on Mom's chest as the two relax in the pool. For the duration of the 15-second video, Chilaquil seems to understand Mom's needs and immediately took action to comfort her. Pregnancy takes a lot out of a person but Chilaquil's cuddles surely make it all better.

"He's gonna be the best older brother," the caption says.

It's no wonder this bug-hearted pup has amassed nearly 1 million followers because every video posted of him paints the truest definition of loyalty. Some fans couldn't help but weigh in on this tender moment between Mom and fur baby.

"Soaking up his last moments as the baby," one person wrote. "Sweet boy! from being afraid of the water to wanting to be close to you and the baby!!," another said. "His little sister is coming soon and she’s going to have the most loving big brother," another added.

Chilaquil is showing the world what he's made of, and it's 100% good boy!

    Can Dogs Sense Pregnancy?

We already know how in-tune dogs are with our emotions. They sense when we're sad or see us excited and celebrate with us. But when it comes to bigger changes, like pregnancy, can they detect what's going on? Dr. Ann Hohenhaus, DVM, told The American Kennel Club says dogs definitely sense something we can't, which can include changes in scent, hormones, or moods.

In other words, they may not know it's pregnancy per se, but by studying behaviors and movements along with their powerful noses, they can deduct that big changes are happening. This may make them more protective of their human or clingy , but in their minds, they just know something's up and they want to be there for us.

Dogs are smart. But more than that, they're loyal. Chilaquil doesn't have to know Mom's pregnant to understand something's changed. Now, she needs it known she'll be there for her, no matter what. Dogs are the best!
