When it comes to age, some dogs defy the odds by their personality alone. They play, run, hop, and communicate like they haven't aged a day since puppyhood. Theodore the senior Yorkie gets this. This little guy doesn't feel a day over three, and it shows.

In a September 7, 2024 TikTok video shared by @c15980 , Theodore proves he still has the moves when it comes to playtime, and he's the cutest thing. Take a look at the little package of sass!

After adopting 12 year old Theodore I found out that 1. He reminds me of a baby gremlin. And 2. He still acts like a puppy and will boss me around until i throw his toy for him. 😆 #adoptadog #adoptaseniordog #adoptdontshop #yorkiesoftiktok #elisttoalist

"After adopting 12 year old Theodore I found out that 1. He reminds me of a baby Gremlin. And 2. He still acts like a puppy and will boss me around until I throw his toy for him," the caption reads.

In the adorable 48-second clip, Theodore shows Mom how good he is at playing. With his little tail wagging happily and his small, raspy bark to show his excitement, he urges her to toss his small toy on the couch, which she does, so he can chase after it.

This is the sweetest 48 seconds you'll see all week and many people agree.

"No, I’d cry every single day knowing I wouldn’t have a full 10 yrs w him," one person shared. "Omg, he looks like a little stuffed animal," another said. "I would quit my job for that dog just so I could spend every last day with it. You give him a kiss and a hug for me.

Another video posted gives a glimpse at the day Theodore, the "one-eyed senior dog" was adopted after "getting passed over again and again," and scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, he found the perfect place to live out the rest of his years with joy.

Yorkies Are Small but Have Big Personalities

Though pups like Theodore are compact, they leave a big impression on anyone who meets them. Personality is the name of the game for these sweethearts. the bigger, the better! The American Kennel Club explains Yorkshire Terriers are known to be "tenacious, feisty, brave, and sometimes bossy," which makes them a great watchdog because they don't realize how small they are!

Yorkies develop strong bonds to their people and love to please them, so solid training and early socialization are key. And because of their size (weighing 7 pounds or less), they're good lapdogs who'll stand right by your side.

Theodore is proof that senior status means nothing. He's just now entering his second act, and we hope he enjoys every second of it!
