Dogs Steal the Spotlight at New York Fashion Week with Dazzling Style

With New York Fashion Week well underway, people from all over the world are gathered in the Big Apple to take in runway shows and admire the latest fashions from the biggest designers. Typically, professional models are the only ones to walk the runway in these shows, which are often pretty serious environments. But one show made an exception to allow some less experienced but much cuter models take the spotlight.

Considering how high stakes these fashion shows are, I wouldn't have imagined they'd let dogs (or any other animals) anywhere near these clothes. But at one show, dogs walked the runway — some of them showing off the hottest pet styles — and yes, they were all very good at modeling. They must be naturals!

This week, the Daily Mail 's official Instagram account shared footage from the fashion show, and I don't think anyone can argue that this was probably the cutest show at Fashion Week. How do you compete with dogs, honestly? I don't care if you're a supermodel or not!

Some of the dogs were carried while others were on leads as they joined models down the runway. Some of them brought only themselves, while others were wearing sweaters and jackets (and one dog was even wearing a pair of angel wings). How cute are they?

According to Forbes, this was the second annual FurBaby CatWalk show , and it was part of Runway 7’s Spring/Summer 2025 presentation. They partner with charitable organizations that benefit five different causes, including animals (of course), the environment, service, women, and kids.

One of the models, Patricia Silverstein, was so enamored by the dog she walked down the runway that she ended up adopting the pup. How cool is that?

    More About FurBaby CatWalk

The official website for the events states that there were 20 different teams that participated this year, and each time includes a designer, a model, and the charity. As they prepare for the show, they raise money, and whichever team manages to raise the most wins the People's Choice Award.

"CatWalk FurBaby is a one-of-a-kind experience at New York Fashion Week, and not just because of the dogs and other furbabies that will grace the runway," says the website. "Rather than a single, headlining designer, CatWalk FurBaby boasts a kaleidoscope of industry talent, bringing together fashion mainstays of all stripes (and gowns), many creating unique pieces just for this event in hopes of winning their chosen charity one of three cash prizes."

This is such a cool concept — and hopefully, one that will continue on for years to come. What's better than looking at cute dogs and supporting good causes at the same time?
