Bringing a baby into your family is an incredibly exciting time: the prep-work is fun, the having a baby part is mostly fun, and there will be plenty of opportunities for your dog and your baby to be cute together, too!

On September 10th, a couple of Golden Retriever girls became their parents' muse for their nursery. What better way to raise your first human baby than to pay homage to your first fur baby?

Ellie and Emma are truly the sweetest girls in the world. This baby is so lucky to get to grow up with them as their big sisters!

Ellie and Emma are total stars. They've got over 7 million followers on TikTok because they're so adorable, and they've got a good message to spread. After their dad came home from deployment overseas, he adopted Ellie first, training her to be a therapy dog (and to take selfies ). Shortly after, he brought Emma home, and they've been spreading smiles to people in need ever since!

This nursery isn't the only thing Ellie and Emma inspired! Several products in the video are from The Cuddle Collab, Target's newest pet collection inspired by 6 sets of fur-fluencers. The sweet little stuffed animals he puts by the "welcome home" sign will be available for purchase in Target stores and online on September 21st along with the rest of the collection. Your nursery could be Ellie and Emma inspired, too!

Subtle Ways to Honor Your Dogs

Kevin and his wife chose to display their love for their pups in full-force here, and that's amazing. Personally, I do the same thing - I have a giant Eras-Tour-style poster with pictures of my girl dog instead of Taylor Swift. However, some people just aren't into things like that, and that's cool, too!

If you'd like to decorate your home in homage to your dog more subtly, you could:

    1. Get a custom painting made with their most distinct markings instead of their whole face.
    2. Have stickers made that include things like their noses or paw prints.
    3. Get a blanket that's the same color as their fur.
    4. Wearing jewelry inspired by them.

In this video, Ellie and Emma's parents have put an "excited to meet you!" sign on the crib with their paw prints above it. That's a perfectly subtle way to honor them, too: when the baby comes home, they could frame it, and you could totally do the same thing. This nursery is completely unforgettable!
