Canada seems like a magical place to most Americans. We don't get to go very often, but we always hear of people there being so kind, having so much fun. Plus, poutine, which looks incredible!

Something most people have no idea about, though, is the Toronto Cat Tour. On September 10th, one woman hadn't meant to find it, but it found her, and she loved absolutely every second of it. Now, we all need to make a trip:

I'm so glad Laura Newman brought this to my attention. I'll be in Toronto in November for The Eras Tour - I'll be hoping I can catch one of these!

Apparently, the Toronto Cat Tour is a very new development, since their first Instagram post was back in July. The premise is simple: cat parents in Toronto sign up through a form, saying, "yes, I have a cat, please walk by my house and see it!" The only rule is that your cat has to live in Toronto and they need to either be outside or visible from a window.

The tour is a walking affair, and it's free to join - as you can see, they're literally just holding up a sign. Whoever finds them finds them, much like the Cat Distribution System! Unfortunately, the next tour isn't until 2025, date TBD!

How to Organize Events For Pet Lovers

If there's one thing we can all stand to learn from the Toronto Cat Tour, evidently, it's that there aren't enough events like this in the world. Cute things like this are so few and far between!

Whether it's cats, dogs, or everything in-between, literally anyone could organize an event to celebrate them. It doesn't have to cost tons of money, just like the Toronto Cat Tour: give people an opportunity to show off their pets and they'll often take it! You could even do a little bit of good: sell snacks, stickers, or other little merch items and donate the profits to a local animal shelter!

To organize something, you could try:

    1. Teaming up with a local rescue to make a whole event out of it.
    2. Posting in local Facebook groups if you're looking for specific pets.
    3. Advertising the event on TikTok (make sure to geotag your location!)
    4. Posting actual flyers around your town.

Once you decide what kind of event you want to throw, you'll need to find a venue. From there, you could honestly just let everyone else find you - it worked for Laura Newman, it could work for you!
