Rescue Cow's Sweet Love For Hedgehog Plushy Couldn't Be Any Sweeter

You can tell a lot about someone by what their comfort stuffed animal was. Some people even still have theirs as adults, which is just astonishing! It may be hanging on by a literal thread, but it's still hanging in there.

Just like humans have their favorite toys, animals do, too. Recently, one little rescue cow went semi-viral for his love of a hedgehog plushy, and the world couldn't get enough. You need to see how sweet he is:

Cows need extra comfort when they're little too. Just like dogs, cows are loving, loyal, and playful. When we rescued Lewis as a tiny baby, he started snuggling up to a hedgehog toy and now that he's a very big, healthy boy, he has a giant teddy bear to cuddle up with. #cowtok #calmingvideos #comfortingvideos #relaxing #farmanimalsanctuary #cuteanimals #cutecowsoftiktok

The Gentle Barn is just the best place to be. They take incredible care of their animals and let them have comfort items!

Lewis (full name: John Lewis Thunderheart ) came to The Gentle Barn at just a week old. He was born in a slaughterhouse where his mom unfortunately passed away. Lewis was too young and too sick to slaughter, so they shipped him off to TGB, where he lived inside with the human caretakers for a while. He needed lots of care and it was a little too hot for him to live outside.

In his stay at The Gentle Barn's California location, Lewis has developed relationships with lots of the other animals, but most importantly, he's developed an amazing relationship with his favorite hedgehog stuffed animal, given to him by the staff to keep him company. When he's not playing with his hedgehog plush bestie, he can be found playing with his Border Collie bestie, Sky, who also lives at the sanctuary!

    Cows Need Emotional Support

Speak to a farmer who has cows for more than about five minutes and they'll tell you that they're basically just massive puppies. They'll often say the same about horses. They're highly intelligent animals, but they also love affection and they love to have fun.

If you want to get a cow, it's best if you have another animal or two on the farm to keep them company like dogs, donkeys, or other cows. Otherwise, your cow will get lonely and may become depressed.

Stuffed animals can be a great way to keep them company at night, especially while they're little, but be warned. They will carry it around if you let them. Everyone knows Lewis is never letting go!
