Golden Retrievers love making new friends everywhere they go. And it's even better if those potential friends visit their home. This describes Maddie the Golden perfectly, and she knows exactly how to make friends old and new feel welcome. And yes—it involves celebratory zoomies!

On September 11, 2024, @maddiethebad.e shared the heartwarming video of the Golden's excitement over a visit from some of her favorite people, the trash crew. Take a look and try not to smile!

In the too-pure-for-this-world clip captioned, "MY BLUE BIN FRIENDS ARE BACK," Maddie excitedly greets the trash pickup worker as he grabs the can near her. She sits only for a moment before running back and forth across the lawn. She's so giddy, she can't help but show it.

After the trash truck saunters by, another employee joins the first man to give Maddie a few pets. She nearly explodes with joy, showing off her zoomies to everyone in the neighborhood. She loves when they visit so much!

This Bellfast, Northern Ireland pup is a big hit with the locals. She greets everyone who stops by to visit her, even if she's never met them. The trash men, however, are her absolute favorite. She waits for them every week!

"This always makes me smile so much," one person said. "Love it," another wrote, while others posted their feelings with emojis showing support for this big-hearted fur baby.

    Why Do Dogs Do Zoomies?

If you've ever watched your dog get the zoomies—or Frenetic Random Activity Periods (FRAPs)—you know it's a funny sight to see. The burst of energy comes from a buildup of excitement they release all at once.

The American Kennel Club explains younger dogs and puppies experience zoomies more than older dogs (though they can, too), and the trademark behavior includes "frantic, repetitive behavior such as running in circles or spinning around."

When a dog gets the zoomies depends on what gets them excited or when there's excess energy they need to burn. If they've been in a crate all night, they might get them in the morning, or if they've get attention from people they've wanted to see, they may run around to show how happy it makes them.

As for Maddie, her zoomies are perfect. The video with her friends is perfect. She is perfect.
