Compilation of Great Dane's Tantrums After Waking Up Is Simply the Best

Some mornings, it's hard to get going. If you're in the middle of a good dream, it can take a while to find the motivation to get up. Appa the Great Dane goes through this constantly, and he's not thrilled about it. Thankfully, his mom put together some of his best wake-up moments for all to enjoy.

A TikTok video shared on September 9 by @kaxandappa gives fans a look at the Appa's least favorite part of the day and it's 100% relatable. Check it out!

"A compilation of my house cow's displeasure at waking up," the hilarious clip says. Through the montage of sleepy scenes, Appa is seen groaning on the couch and grumbling on the bed as he wakes from different naps against his will. Again, relatable.

"Things people say Appa sounds like: Vhagar, a didgeridoo, a man who just came off an 80hr week, something from bio-shock (I'm sorrrry I don't play it), a throat singer, the kraken, the bass in the pirate yo-ho song, ship sounds from North Sea-Tok, yourselves," the caption says and people are totally feeling this.

"Your neighbors probably think you have a small dirt bike in your house that you occasionally just turn on and rev for funzies," one person joked.

"How I am imagining him saying what I do every morning, expletives and all," another said.

"Me too, buddy me too…except I have to work and pay bills and I’m not handsome lol," another added.

Appa is all of us on Monday mornings so we get it!

How Much Sleep Do Great Danes Need?

Appa clearly loves sleeping (don't we all?) but how much sleep should Great Danes get? Multiple sources agree that pups like Appa should get anywhere between 10-16 hours a day, depending on their age. Puppies can sleep up to a whopping 20 hours, while seniors may need about the same due to age-related issues. Hallett Vet explains this much rest is needed because of their size, as large breeds need more sleep than others to stay healthy.

Danes use up a lot of energy when they exercise, so napping throughout the day is important. Soft bedding also help them get their best slumber because it's better for their joints.

These gentle giants are true sweethearts who are loyal and devoted members of the family. Like Appa, they wear themselves out carrying such a large frame so sleep is everything!
