Rescue Aussie Doodle's Gentle Way of Eating Popcorn Is the Epitome of Good Manners

When many dogs have the opportunity to share human food with their people, they aren't messing around. There's no time to waste — they absolutely must scarf it down as quickly as possible. Besides, if they wait too long, they might have the offer rescinded, obviously . Even if you, as their human, would never pull something like that over on them in a million years. They have to be prepared for all possible outcomes when something as serious as people food is at stake.

But then, there are dogs like the Aussie Doodle in this TikTok video, who choose to take the whole situation a lot more calmly. Yes, she is obviously excited at the prospect of her mom offering her a snack, but she isn't about to ruin the moment by accidentally nipping the hand that feeds her (literally).

In this clip shared by @noatherescuedoodle on Monday, September 9, we can see what happened when Noa the Aussie Doodle was offered the grand prize of some popcorn from her mom.

But rather than get too excited and accidentally injure her mama with those sharp doggy teeth, Noa was very polite about the whole thing as she gingerly took the piece of popcorn out of her mom's hand. The manners ended there, though; she sure did create a lot of crumbs for a dog who was eating just one piece of popcorn.

Judging by the comments, this video made more than a few people fall in love with Noa. One person wrote, "I think she needs a movie night with popcorn ASAP."

I am in agreement there. Noa deserves the world after showing how gentle she can be!

    Is Popcorn Safe for Dogs?

Given how much Noa enjoyed her popcorn, it's making me wonder if my dog would want to try some too. But is popcorn a safe snack to share with our dogs?

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), yes, it is safe — with a couple of caveats. The safest popcorn to feed your dog is a small quantity of plain, air-popped popcorn, which means that popcorn with salt, butter, or other toppings would be a no go, since those ingredients aren't good for them.

You also will want to keep unpopped and partially unpopped kernels away from your dogs, since kernels can get stuck in your dog's teeth or pose a choking hazard, as the AKC points out.

Noa can rest assured that her favorite snack is safe to enjoy from time to time. Let's just hope she's always this polite when the time comes to eat it!
