Samoyed dogs are known for being wonderfully friendly, gentle, and devoted to the humans that love them. Samoyeds also form strong attachments to other dogs and love playing and cuddling with their canine pals.

Just check out this beautiful Samoyed dog that was reunited with his best friend and how they reacted to seeing each other again. It's too cute for words.

The adorable video was shared by the TikTok account for @ Littlebearlumi and people cannot get enough of these two Samoyed besties. One person commented, "We don't deserve dogs... but I'm so THANKFUL for them!" Amen. Another person replied, "Animals are so capable of love and relationships to me is proof they have a soul." Someone else responded, "The way she put her paws on him!!! So adorable."

It's just so precious how Lumi held hands with the other pup! You can tell these two were so happy to see each other again. If your dog isn't lucky enough to have their own fur sibling and you'd like to help them make friends with other dogs, here are some ways you can go about that.

How to Socialize Your Dog with Other Dogs

As adorable as the two Samoyed dogs in the story above are, not all dogs make friends easily with other dogs, but there are some ways you can help your own pup be more social.

Playtime is an essential part of a dog's routine , not just because it’s fun (although that is important), but mostly because dogs use playtime to practice some of their most essential survival skills, such as communicating, hunting and fighting. The linked article states that "meeting new dogs on neutral territory and learning how to interact with them is particularly beneficial to your dog's mental health as it stimulates the problem-solving and investigative parts of his brain, which fulfills another of his psychological needs."

If your dog is playful, try introducing him to other dogs at a dog park and don't worry if another dog barks or even chases your dog. That's just the other dog's way of communicating that they don't like the way your dog is behaving at present.

If you have a friend who is also a dog parent, ask if they'd be willing to bring their pup over for a playdate. You can also sign your own pup up for doggy daycare a few days a month to let them play with other pups.

The best way to socialize your dog to getting along with other dogs is to let them be in the company of other dogs.
