A fluffy Chow Chow named Teddy lives in a house full of morning people and his reaction to being woken up early is hilarious and relatable.

On September 4, 2024, Teddy Chow Chow (@teddy.chow.chow) shared a video of the fluffy dog and his feelings about an early wake-up. Take a look!

On Instagram , a video of the cute Chow Chow is making everyone giggle because he does not want to be awake.

"When you live in a house full of morning people..." the video's text reads. In the clip, Teddy, the Chow Cow , is standing in the hallway with a blanket on his back and a disdainful face.

He's just standing there, not moving from that spot. He is not saying anything vocally, but his face says it all, and it's so relatable. Teddy is giving a death stare to all those morning people (who we can't see in the video).

No one likes being woken up early, and Teddy has the exact face a person would put on if they were woken up at an ungodly hour because of a group of morning people.

The Beatles' song "I'm So Tired" playing in the clip adds to the humor of this video. "Boycott mornings!" the video's caption reads. "Sign the PAWtition."

In the comments, people really felt for Teddy because we can all relate.

One wrote, "Aww, no, go back to bed, sweetie. I am just a morning creature, either. Let’s get that petition signed."

Another shared, "This poor baby. The struggle is real."

Someone else added, "I get it puppers. I’m not a morning person.

One said, "I feel this deep in my soul!!"

How Much Sleep Does a Chow Chow Need?

Like people, some dogs require more sleep than others, and Chow Chows fall into the category of more sleep.

According to I Heart Dogs , an adult Chow Chow needs about 12 to 14 hours of sleep daily.

The experts explain that because Chow Chows are less active than other breeds and are happy to "lounge around and relax for extended periods," they don't need as much sleep as other breeds.

But getting sleep is still vital for Chow Chows. Having enough rest maintains their health, energy levels, and overall happiness.

"If your dog is well-rested, they will be more likely to engage in play, training, and other activities during their waking hours."

The American Kennel Club explains that dogs can spend up to half their days asleep, "30% awake but relaxing, and just 20% percent being active." Older dogs and bigger breeds tend to need more sleep than that because older dogs tire out quicker, and bigger breeds use a lot of energy.

The Club explains that our sleep patterns are pretty similar to those of dogs. However, they differ a lot when comparing how much REM sleep people get versus dogs.

"Dogs only spend about 10% of their snoozing time in REM because of their irregular sleep patterns," the Club explains. "By contrast, humans spend up to 25% of sleep in REM, reflecting their more typical schedule of staying awake all day and resting through the night."

Hopefully, Teddy can take a few naps since he was woken up way too early.
