White Cat's 'Full-On Hollering' At the Window Is Enough To Wake The Whole Town

Indoor cats get bored sometimes, and when they do, they tend to spend a lot of time at the window. They like to watch everything happens around them, and when they see something they find really interesting, it's only natural for them to want to respond.

That happens in a variety of ways, including straight up hollering, according to this cat from Tuesday, September 17th. She had a lot to say, and she really wanted to be sure that everyone heard her:

All of the cats in @indooroutdoorkat's house are absolutely bonkers. You'd think they'd have managed to get even just one normal one, but no. They wouldn't have it any other way!

There are three cats in this house, and they do a really good job at keeping each other company. Gandalf is the real star of the show: she went viral for her weekly Monday tradition of licking a graham cracker. People tune in ever week to see it, and to marvel at the fact that she never tries to sneak a bite!

Natilla stole the show in this clip, though: she spotted another cat near her yard and went crazy. The other cat didn't even seen to notice, which is hilarious: what was she doing all that for? She even got Dave, her son, riled up in solidarity. Get a grip, girl!

Why Is My Cat Howling at the Window?

Natilla isn't the first cat who's ever hollered at the window, and she won't be the last. Any cat could pick up the habit at any time, and it's alarming. If you didn't know any better and heard your cat doing this, you'd probably get a little scared!

If your cat is howling and hollering at the window suddenly, several things could be the cause:

    1. They see something they don't like.
    2. If your cat is un-spayed, she could be in heat.
    3. They might not be getting enough enrichment ; it's a sign of boredom.
    4. Their favorite person isn't at home and they're waiting for them to get back.
    5. They're in pain.

When you first notice your cat howling, go over to them and ask if they're okay while petting them. It'll give you a chance to check for injuries and may even help solve the problem if it's attention they were after. If it persists for more than a few minutes, it's best to book an appointment with the vet; there could be something serious going on.

Luckily for Natilla, her mom, and both of her cat companions, she's just being dramatic. It's a true struggle!
