Rescue Kitten Steals Golden Retriever's Heart Sparking Adorable Foster Fail

You've probably heard the term "foster fail" before, but in case you haven't, it's a phrase that people use to describe what happens when someone brings home a pet initially planning to foster them... and then realizing that they love them so much they could never give them up. Plenty of animals find homes this way, and it always feels so meant to be; that pet and this human were obviously meant to find each other, even if they didn't realize that theirs is supposed to be the pet's forever home right away.

And sometimes, it's also about pets already in the household being meant to find their forever BFF in the same way. The kitten and the Golden Retriever in this Instagram video are the perfect example of this; they definitely knew they were supposed to be siblings for life!

This video recently shared by @goldensdigger introduces us to a Golden Retriever named Clara and a kitten named Cow (appropriately enough, since he's white with black spots!).

"Our sweet Cow was a sick little kitten when we first brought him home to foster. He was in rough shape, but with lots of love and care, he made a full recovery!" they wrote in their caption. "We couldn’t resist falling in love, and now he’s part of our family."

In the video, we can see the progress being made between Clara and Cow starting from day one. At first, they were a bit skittish around each other, but slowly, that melted away, and Cow even became comfortable enough to start batting at Clara and trying to play.

But it only took a few days for them to truly become best friends, and sure enough, Clara ended up staying for good. I can't blame their parents, either — how could you possibly split up a duo like those two?

Cow & Clara's Sweet Friendship

Their family has been documenting their friendship on Instagram as it has continued to grow, and there is no denying that they were meant to find each other.

Cow moved in with them over the summer, and at first, they wanted to keep him but weren't sure if they should keep them, but I don't doubt how much Clara loved him already played a big part in their ultimate decision to let him stay.

Clara isn't the only one who is happy that Cow stuck around, either. He also made fast friends with their other dog, Griffin. What a likable cat he must be.

Cow fit right in , and now, they do have a full house... but the family seems very happy and has continued to foster other kittens in need. How cool is that?
