Golden Retriever Puppy's Zoomies Go Awry & His Precious, Guilty Face Says It All

Zoomies are universally the cutest thing ever. The little burst of energy pups get out of nowhere begins and ends within 30 seconds, and they seem to happen at the most random time. Boots the Golden Retriever recently saved her zoomies for bedtime, and things didn't quite go as planned.

In a new video shared to TikTok by @bootsiethegolden , the small girl's zoomies end in complete chaos when a flower pot gets involved. Her sweet face is too much to handle. Look at her go!

In the clip captioned, "Nightime zoomies for sure," Boots revs up and takes off for a trip around the coffee table. Her zoomies were so zoomtastic, the Golden girl accidentally knocked into the table, which tipped a flower pot right off the edge. Once Mom shouts her name, she calms almost immediately and strolls up with the most innocent-looking face there ever was. She obviously didn't do it!

This sweet girl has only been in her new home since August, but she's already taking the internet by storm. Not only is she as adorable as they come, but fans are living for her puppyhood antics. In the case of the zoomies, many say she's innocent of the crime and should be exonerated immediately!

"Boots is innocent. The plant knocked itself over," one person argued.

"There was a ghost. I saw it myself," another added.

"Now, hang on, maybe it was somebody else," another said.

With so many witnesses that side with Boots, Mom will surely let her off with a warning.

    Why Dogs Get Nighttime Zoomies

Boots isn't the only dog to run around before bedtime. The American Kennel Club explains puppies typically go wild at night for a few notable reasons. Zoomies—also known as Frenetic Random Activity Period—happen when they have built-up excess energy they need to release.

It can happen when they want to play, are stressed out, excited, or if they've not had enough exercise throughout the daytime. The act of "frapping" often happens at night with puppies because their energy level is a lot higher than adult dogs. Despite napping a lot, these bursts of energy signal the need for more exercise before bed or that they need more mental stimulation.

The site suggests daily walks, play time, puzzles, and regular training to help them get out excess energy. Create a solid routine they can count on, and if you plan to crate train, make sure they have enough time outside of the crate to release all that energy .

The bottom line is, as long as their needs are met, zoomies are great for dogs like Boots and even better for pet parents to sit back and watch!
