A beautiful orange Maine Coon cat finds his twin, who just happens to be a Halloween decoration of an orange skeleton, and it's hilarious.

On September 5, 2024, TikTok user Deeeeeeee (@duhitsdee11) shared a video of her orange Maine Coon and his new best friend. Take a look!

In a short clip shared to social media, we meet a really beautiful orange Maine Coon who happens to have a very unique bestie.

Mom is behind the camera, and she walks into the living room and there's her adorable, regal Maine Coon and his new best friend.

"What are you doing," she asks her cat, who is sitting on the couch, kind of in the lap of his new friend, an orange Halloween decoration.

The cat turns to look at mom as she asked him what he's doing. But because he's a cat, he's got attitude all over his face like she's bothering him.

"Who is that?" she asked her cat, pointing to the giant orange skeleton Halloween decoration the cat was sitting on.

The cat meows at her, responding to her questioning who the skeleton is, and it's so funny because, again, with his facial expression, he seems to be telling mom to mind her own business.

"I've been replaced," the mom wrote in the video caption. "Thanks, Target."

The orange cat's new orange best friend was a topic of discussion in the comment section of the video.

    One wrote, "Orange recognizes Orange."

Another shared, "cat: there you are, tell it to give me pets. I've been waiting for over an hour!"

Someone else added, "It's a lap... if I fit, I sit!"

Another joked, "It's me, not moving because a cat is on my lap."

One wrote, "They found an orange twin."

Why Do Cats Like to Sit on Things They Know We're Using?

Chances are this skeleton decoration was set up on the couch to stay there for Halloween or as a temporary holding zone for where mom really wanted to put it. But either way, it's intention is likely not a seat for the orange Maine Coon. But he found it regardless.

If you have a cat at home or have spent any time with one, you've probably realized that cats like to sit on things . They love to sit on things they know we're using, like our computer, shoes, or, in this case, Halloween decorations.

Why do they do that? According to SmallPetsSelect , there are a few reasons why cats like to sit on things we're using: it's warm, it's a turf war, or it smells like you. Cats enjoy being warm and one reason why some feel cats like to sit on our stuff is because it's warm--whether that be onthe seat we just left or our laptop, they're just seeking some cozy heat.

Or cats are sitting on our stuff because it marks their territory. "Cats like to sit on your stuff because they want to mark their territory with pheromones," the site explains. "Well, preferably pheromones and not pee (yes, this is a thing). When they hang out on your stuff, they transfer their pheromones, located on their adorable faces and paws, to that thing; it becomes 'theirs.'"

SmallPetSelect shares that cats like to sit on our stuff because it smells like us."If something smells like you, they like to be near it because it makes them feel safe and happy."

When my dog was new to me, I took him to Lowe’s Halloween display. There was a life-sized witch cackling and stirring her cauldron. My dog was nudging her trying to get pets.
