Golden Retriever Sweetly Supports Baby Brother Through First Haircut Experience

There are so many great things about having a dog as a member of the family that I would never be able to list them all, but one of my favorite parts of my relationship with my pup is the amount of comfort she brings me. She can tell when I'm sad, stressed, and even when I'm struggling with a bad migraine, and she does her best to offer any emotional support she can, even if it's just keeping me company or cuddling up in bed with me so I am not alone. It's good to know that whatever happens, I always have her as a part of my support system.

I've also seen my dog fill that role for my daughter since she was a newborn, and my pup isn't the only one! In this video, a Golden Retriever seriously stepped up for his baby brother, and it made for one adorable moment.

As @beaunosebones explained in this Instagram post, the baby in this video, whose name is Frankie, was freaked out by the prospect of getting his first haircut, but that's where his Golden Retriever big brother, Beau, came in.

The barber that they went to for the headache was kind enough to allow Beau to join Frankie for his haircut, leading to this adorable footage featuring Frankie in a barber's chair that looks like a fire truck and Beau in a regular barber's chair wearing a black cape, like he's getting his haircut, too. These two are too much!

And fortunately, it looks like just having his big brother there truly was enough to keep Frankie chill; it seems to have been a no drama haircut with no scared babies anywhere to be seen!

Beau & Frankie's Sweet Relationship

Frankie only celebrated his first birthday over the summer, but in just one year, it's clear to see that these brothers have become absolutely inseparable, and their parents have been documenting every step of the way.

As soon as they brought Frankie home from the hospital, Beau was there , waiting to greet him (and somehow already knew he needed to be so gentle). He was even a big part of Frankie's newborn shoot — and the pictures are seriously adorable!

As baby Frankie grew, so did his friendship with Beau. Soon, it became easy to see just how happy Frankie's dog big brother was making him... and now that Frankie has learned to walk and has become even more mobile, they can play together, resulting in some of the cutest videos I've ever seen on social media!

May their bond only continue to grow. These two are so lucky to have each other!
