Blind Cat's Sweet Meow Upon Hearing His Name Is Everything

Being a pet parent can be a stressful experience even under the best of circumstances, but when your pet has special needs, it's a whole different ball game. If your pet happens to be blind or deaf, you have to figure out how to help them navigate the world — or at least, your house — and make sure that they are able to communicate their needs. You have to learn how to be their eyes and ears, and that isn't a simple task.

Despite all of those challenges, it's clear that the blind kitty in this TikTok video is clear on just how loved he really is, and that even though he's never seen his mom, he knows just what her voice sounds like.

Proud mom @theblindcathouse shared this sweet video of her blind cat, Archie, responding when he hears his name.

Archie is sitting on a perch by the window with his sibling when his mom walks in, calling his name. He immediately sits up and meows in response before stretching up tall so she can pet him. This is a boy who loves his mama!

"I'll never get tired of that meow," she wrote.

In the comments, their followers absolutely gushed over this cat and the love that he has for his mama. One viewer summed it up pretty well with this comment: "I can't keep sobbing over cats every day. But I can't stop thinking about all of the time that he spends, obviously unable to see, just listening and smelling for his favorite things, until he hears your voice and his whole day is made. Honestly breaking down over this."

Archie Has So Many Loyal Fans

In case you haven't figured it out by now, let me spell it out for you: Archie's kind of a big deal, and his 217,000 TikTok followers would most certainly agree.

The first time this gorgeous cat went viral was a little over a year ago , when his mom shared a photo of him attempting to pounce on his foster brother while playing, but instead of landing on the other cat, he landed on the ground instead, looking confused. Poor guy!

Archie started out as a foster cat himself, but ended up becoming a foster fail. And for those worried about him, his mom explained that she works from home so she's always nearby to offer him help when he needs it, but she likes to give him practice doing things on his own so he can gain some confidence.

"He's never gonna be safe unless he learns how to do it by himself," she said.

Archie and his mom are lucky to have found each other. He's so cute and deserves all the love and attention he's getting!
