Inquisitive Doberman Left Stunned After Gigantic Great Dane Encounter

Doberman Pinschers are not small dogs. Some can stand 28 inches tall and weigh in at 100 pounds. While most would consider that quite sizeable, it’s modest compared to a Great Dane, a breed even big dogs find awe-inspiring.

This beautiful Dobie couldn’t believe her eyes when encountering one of these massive pups. In fact, she almost seemed to question if this giant canine was real.

If you’re usually the biggest dog at the park, it’s easy to understand why Nyx (@ dobienyx ) would be so confused by this gentle giant. She’d never encountered a canine friend of such a formidable size, but she seemed impressed the more she explored. This beautiful Great Dane showed off this beloved breed’s calm and friendly nature as this darling girl checked him out. Considering Doberman Pinschers are ranked in the top five of the most intelligent dogs, it’s safe to assume she’ll be able to store this friendly encounter in her memory. That should help her be less stunned the next time she meets one of these enormous pups.

How Big Are Great Danes?

Great Danes are well known for their massive size, making them one of the largest breeds in the world. These gorgeous dogs can stand as tall as 32 inches at the shoulder, and males can weigh up to 175 pounds or more. According to Guinness World Records, the tallest dog recorded was a Dane named Zeus from Texas. He measured 3 feet 5 inches tall and stood over 7 feet on his hind legs. While their towering height and muscular build give them an imposing presence, they are famously calm and friendly. However, their colossal dimensions require ample space for exercise and a healthy diet to ensure their joints and bones remain healthy as they grow.

Pet parents were not surprised by this well-mannered meet-up. Viewer @joshuaalo reported, “I took my Dobie to the dog beach when he was around six months, but little did we know at least 10 Great Danes would greet him. He stood in the middle of the group and was welcomed, lol.” That must’ve been quite an experience! Viewer @lo_re_ta revealed, “The best buddy of my Jack Russell Terrier is an 86kg (190lbs) Dane - they look like Davis & Goliath.” No doubt! Viewer @johnsiepmann responded, “My Dobie loved Danes. He kept trying to bring them home, lol.” Dobermans are intelligent dogs who must know that these gentle friends can boost their pack's security.
