Hilarious Video of Tabby Cats Far Too Excited for Pasta Night Is Such a Vibe

When it comes to pets who are clamoring for table food, it's usually dogs that come up in the conversation. But as someone who is both a cat mom and a dog mom, I am here to say that cats can be just as persistent when it comes to their pursuit of human food as dogs are, if not more. It's usually my cats who appear every time they hear the pantry door open, and they are the ones I catch on the counter, trying to tear through the packaging of a new loaf of bread. Of course, my dog would never turn down a treat from the fridge, but let's face it: Cats want to enjoy the finer things the culinary world has to offer, too... and sometimes, they just want to play with it.

If you don't believe me, the Tabby cats in this TikTok video will probably convince you that what I'm saying is the truth. On pasta night, they get just as excited as their fellow human carb lovers do. Somebody get these kitties to Olive Garden!

In this video from @_houseof4cats , we get a peek at what pasta night looks like for these two Tabby cats, whose names are Bidoof and Timmy (and then there's a third cat, Gibby, who watches carefully from the counter. What a good supervisor!).

You know how people like to throw their spaghetti at the wall to see if it's done or not depending on whether it sticks or slides to the ground? After their humans did this, these cats went crazy, rushing over to the wall and trying to reach the pasta (and it seemed like they had so much fun in the process).

The noodles served as both a diversion and a snack, because once it was on the ground where they could get it, they had no problem cleaning up the mess by chowing down on it all.

    Can Cats Eat Pasta?

Good news: The occasional pasta night isn't going to harm Bidoof and Timmy, or any other cats, for that matter.

According to The Spruce Pets, serving your cats a small amount of cooked pasta as a treat is perfectly okay, as long as it's not an every day thing — and as long as it's plain pasta without sauce, butter, or other toppings, since sodium, onions, garlic, and other seasonings aren't good for cats to consume.

You do want to avoid serving your cats uncooked pasta, because their bodies aren't able to digest hard noodles and it will probably cause them a lot of stomach discomfort.

It's good to know that Bidoof and Timmy are safe to keep taking part in pasta night. It clearly means a lot to them!
