A waterpark in Switzerland hosts an annual dog swim day at its waterslide adventures every year, and it's so cute to see the happy pups!

On September 19, 2024, Zurich Restaurants, Bars, Events & Parties (@spazurich) shared a video of their annual dog swim day, and it looks like everyone had the absolute best time. Take a look!

In a really fun video shared on Instagram, we get to live vicariously through a bunch of dogs who are having the best day at the waterpark!

"Yearly dog swimming in Zurich, Switzerland," the text on the video reads as we follow a Golden Retriever and a Labradoodle into the waterpark. When the two dogs and their parents enter the park, we see just how many puppies were at the yearly dog swimming and how much fun they all looked to be having.

Dogs had fun swimming in the pools and playing with the toys in the water. We watch a brave dog go down the waterslide, and the pup looks like they had the absolute best time!

There was one Goldendoodle who looked like they tried the slide a few times and it looked like they were having the best time. Some of the silly dogs tried to climb up the slide, and it was also fun to watch them look like baby deer who were just figuring out how their legs worked.

Another pup was getting some great speed, and once they all figured out the best method to get down the slide with speed, it was so fun to watch.

In the comments, it's clear that people enjoyed watching the dogs have so much fun. Also, this looks like an event that is absolutely worth the trip if you're not local.

One wrote, "Best swim ever! I don't have a dog... But I think I would come only to see this happy dogs!"

Another shared, "So bummed I missed it. My lab would’ve loved this."

Someone added, "Cutest thing ever. So sad Kitsune (Shiba Inu) doesn’t like water."

One joked, "Probably the only time the pool doesn’t smell like pee."

    Someone wrote, "Happiest dogs ever."

Important Water Safety Reminders for Dog Parents

It's so much fun to play at the waterpark, and even though many dogs know how to swim and seem very comfortable, there are some water safety reminders that dog parents should always brush up on if they're planning to take their dogs out for some water fun.

According to the American Animal Hospital Association , if you plan to have your dog in the pool, you should ensure there are safe ways to get in and out of the water.

"A pet-friendly ramp or steps for pools are also important," they note. "Teaching your pet to use these can help them exit the water easily and safely, reducing the risk of panic or drowning if they become tired or disoriented."

You should always be close to your dog when they're in the water and start slowly, even if they're seasoned swimmers.

"Before letting your pet dive in, assess their swimming skills in a controlled environment. Start in shallow water and gradually increase the depth as they become more comfortable," the association suggests.

"Regardless of your pet’s swimming prowess, always watch them closely when they are in or near water, as even experienced swimmers can become tired or encounter difficulties."
