"From the start, we knew our adopted girl was going to love her dad," the text on the video reads as we see Dad and Gloria working together at his shop.

"Picking up where Gus left off with the duty of supervisor ... always keeping an eye on dad sometimes getting more in the way than helping ... discovering new things daily," the video continued.

While working away, Dad also makes sure to take time with Gloria, ensuring that she's able to investigate things that she takes an interest in. At one point in the clip, she gets intrigued by a roll of tape. Instead of pulling it away from Gloria, he pauses what he is working on to allow her to get a better smell, and even a quick taste, of the tape.

"She is always so curious about everything her dad is doing," the video continued, "and her dad is so good about showing her everything."

In the video's caption, the bond these two have is front and center.

"It’s true what they say: a dog is a man’s best friend," the video's caption reiterates. "Gloria loves seeing what her dad is up to, and I think dad likes it too."

In the comments, people had a lot of really sweet things to say about the beautiful, loving bond these two have with each other.

One wrote, "I love that you guys take the time to show Gloria things. They're so curious, but some people don't think it's important to let dogs smell things... it's so easy."

Another shared, "I love their relationship. He is wonderful with her and she clearly adores him. So precious."

Someone added, "She is snoopervising her daddy."

One shared, "I love that he is so patient with her."

Another joked, "Man.....your boss micromanages you."

An Instagram user shared, "Staying close to dad, keeping him safe."

How to Build a Strong Bond with Your Rescue Dog

Taking on a rescue dog can come with some struggles, especially if the dog has a complicated history. But there are ways to bond with a rescue dog, and that typically begins with trust.

Diamond Pet says, "In the case of adopting a rescue pet, you’re rarely bringing home a newly born puppy that you can raise and 'mold' into the type of dog you’ve always wanted."

Instead, "statistically, most rescues are adult dogs with formed behavioral habits and their own inherent fears. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing as long as you understand how to build trust with the animal."

They explain that some traits that a rescue dog may have include being overprotective, having separation anxiety, being shy, or being scared. But bonding begins with trust, which starts with staying calm and respectful, which is what Gloria's dad is doing in this video.

Other things you can do include not putting any pressure on your pup, focusing on what your dog loves to do, being a leader and providing good training, and giving your new rescue a lot of love and comfort.
