Some rules are meant to be broken—just ask curious dogs! Mustard, the Golden Retriever, is challenging his home's status quo by breaking the biggest rule of all: don't enter the baby's room. But he's just so cute, it's almost too hard to resist.

In a September 25 TikTok video shared by @goldenbabbie, the sneaky pup makes his way into the baby's room and heart by simply being himself. Take a look!

In the hilarious clip, Mustard enters "the forbidden area," which is the baby's room. When Mom confronts him about breaking the rule, he puts on his best doggy eyes as he sits very patiently, hoping she'll change her mind. As he gently paws at Mom and offers the baby a kiss or two, it's clear he's not interested in going anywhere else. That baby is his! Eventually, he's escorted to the stairs where his Golden sister, Honey, is waiting exactly where she's supposed to be.

"Honey would never!!!! Her face at the end," the caption says.

With more than 35,000 likes, plenty of people are siding with Mustard saying he's just the best boy trying to love on his human sister.

"Good boy, Mustard! Just as we discussed, heavy on the eyes," one person wrote.

"You better let those babies be a nanny to their baby!!" another said.

"The sweetest taps from the sweetest boy. I melted," another added.

Mustard may not be the best at following the home's "golden" rule, but 10/10 would say he deserves all the pets for being such a sweetheart with the new baby.

    Golden Retrievers Love Children

Mustard is the perfect example of why Goldens make amazing additions to nearly any type of family. They have the sweetest temperament, and their loyal, easygoing personalities make them the perfect choice for homes with children. They'll probably even become best friends!

According to the American Kennel Club, Golden Retrievers stay young at heart beyond puppyhood. They take longer to mature and stay playful and fun longer than other breeds, which also means your children will have the best playmate for years.

As one of the most common breeds used as service and search-and-rescue dogs, Goldens are empathetic and in touch with their people's emotions, often sitting right by your side to offer comfort and support. Who wouldn't want a dog like that around their kids?

Of course every dog is different but Goldens do have a reputation of being pretty fantastic, particularly with families. These eager-to-please cuties won't make a great guard dog—they're too friendly! But if you're looking for a pup like Mustard who will break a rule or two just to give the new baby a kiss, then you've got it made!
