Tiny Dachshund Discovers Nature’s Perfect Umbrella and It’s Cuteness Overload

A tiny Dachshund has discovered the best natural umbrella while trying to hide from the sun, and it's so cute.

On September 22, 2024, The Daxie Trouble (@the_daxie_trouble) shared a really cute video of their tiny Dachshund who found the best umbrella. Take a look.

Not only is the video adorable because this sweet pup has found the perfect spot for some shade, but the puppy is so small it makes it even cuter.

In a short clip shared on Instagram, we meet a small Dachsund dog who looks to be out for a walk with their family but stopped for some rest.

It's not clear which of the four Daschunds this is under the mushroom, whether it's Barney, Benji, Monty, or Ozzie, but it is obvious that this pup knows how to find the perfect shade from the sun or protection should it start raining.

This video clip also puts into perspective that this puppy is really tiny, and that's always cute to see.

"What a feeling it must be to be able to hide under a mushroom," the caption of the video reads. And in the comment section, other people thought it was really cool that this adorable pup found nature's umbrella.

One wrote, "I know this mushroom is huge, but your dog found a wonderful umbrella for its size."

Another shared, "Looks like a table, lol. At least he could get some shade."

Someone added, "Oh, to be a dog laying in the shade of a mushroom."

Can Dachshunds Eat Mushrooms?

We like to see this adorable mini Dachshund taking a rest under the mushroom and not eating it because that may not be safe.

According to the American Kennel Club , knowing which mushrooms are safe and which aren't can be complicated. But them eating one that's not safe could have terrible consequences.

"Some people believe that dogs won’t eat toxic mushrooms because they can identify toxins by scent," the organization shares.

"Unfortunately, this is not true. Veterinarians and mushroom experts believe that wild mushroom poisoning is an under-reported cause of fatal poisoning in dogs. Responding quickly to a suspected mushroom snack is the best thing you can do for your dog in these circumstances."

The American Kennel Club says that the list of symptoms of mushroom ingestion can really depend on the variety of mushrooms, but some common symptoms include vomiting, weakness, tiredness, diarrhea, seizures, and more.
