It's important to be very careful when surprising your loved ones with a new pet. Not everyone would want to be surprised with a huge, brand new responsibility — let alone one that can be quite expensive for years to come! But if you're going to be main caretaker of the pup involved and just want your loved ones to be surprised by their new four-legged friend, it can be a lot of fun, especially if they are fellow dog lovers. It sounds like a dream come true to walk into a family member or BFF's house and discover a tiny puppy there, waiting to play with me!

One mom recently did this with her Goldendoodle puppy, and it was nothing short of magic to see everyone's reactions when they walked in to see the new baby. You have to see this for yourself:

This adorable footage was shared by @richa.and.her.dood on TikTok on Friday, September 20. She decided to adopt a Goldendoodle puppy and kept it a total secret, though I have to imagine that must have been one of the hardest secrets in the world to keep!

Her new puppy was all set up in a pen with a bed, food and water bowl, and of course, plenty of toys before she invited her loved ones over, and it's pretty clear from the clips shown here that not a single one of them saw this coming!

The reactions ranged from excitement to pure disbelief, and she kept the fun going when she saw more of her friends and family members for the first time, bringing the pup along.

So what's the verdict now that her surprise is complete? "10/10 recommend getting a pup without telling anyone."

With results like that, I can't blame her!

    Do Goldendoodles Make Good Pets?

Goldendoodles are a breed that has been very popular for years now, and it's easy to see why, when you consider they look like living teddy bears! But do they make good pets?

In a word, yes — thanks to both their energy level and their easygoing personalities. These are happy, energetic, social dogs, so not only do they typically get along with other dogs, but they also get along well with kids, making them a great choice for a family pet.

As Hill's Pet Nutrition points out, Goldendoodles require about 30 minutes of exercise per day, don't shed very much, and they are very smart. The downside to all that intelligence? If they get bored, they may cause chaos, especially when left alone, so make sure they have plenty of stimulation!

The new dog mom in the video above is lucky to be starting this journey with her puppy — and all of the people in his life who already love him.
