A funny Cockatoo decides the best time to sing to "his kitty" like the rising music star he is, which can only be when the kitty's trying to sleep.

On September 30, 2024, TikTok user FixChix (@fixchix) shared a video of an adorable Cockatoo who has a very pretty singing voice, even if he's the only one who thinks she can.

In a quick 14-second video , we meet a really cute Cockatoo named Cumulus who loves to sing.

Cumulus loves to have an audience when it's time for him to sing and really seems to prefer his cat sibling. The cat, however, seems more indifferent.

In the clip we see Cumulus sitting on the side of the Lay-Z-boy recliner chair that his cat sibling is sitting on. It looks like the cat wants nothing to do with her sibling, a bird that thinks he can sing well but really doesn't.

Cumulus doesn't seem to be singing anything specific, at least not something we can pick out from listening to the video. But whatever it is, Cumulus has a great singing voice. And unlike what it might seem, the sweet cat loves to get sung to by the birds.

The video shares, " Singing to his kitty. Adding that "Believe it or not, she seeks him out." So, according to the person who is the kitty, she loves it when the bird takes time to serenade her like the rising musical talent he is.

"Sorry the tvs loud but it has to be," the video's caption continues. In the comment section, people shared their feelings on the adorable bird, the cute cat, and their connection together.

One writes, "Heā€™s working late cuz heā€™s a singerrrrr ."

Another shares, "Cat's like, 'Are you serious?'"

Someone else adds, "Singing to the cat," along with a laughing emoji.

One continues, "Thatā€™s so sweetā€¦.. he LOVES to sing and please people and other animals."

Someone joked, "I love when I see animals that are painted as enemies, being buddies."

Can a Cockatoo and a Cat Get Along?

Some of us dream of having homes full of beautiful pets and ones of all different types. Can dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds all get along? Can a Cockatoo, for example, get along with a cat and safely live in the same home?

According to Catster , it is possible to have a cat and bird live together where they both are safe and thrive.

"There is a lot of planning and supervision that needs to be done with both of these opposite species in your home," the experts explain. "Even the most laid-back, lazy cats can have their hunting instincts spiked by seeing a bird fly around the house."

However, the experts suggest that the two pets not be left alone in the same space.

"Even with supervision, itā€™s advisable to keep cats and birds separate from each other," Catster shares. "You might be sitting in the room with your cat and your bird, but if your cat manages to grab your bird, your bird could be seriously injured or dead before you can even act. These two pets should always be kept separate from each other."
