The heartbreaking clip was shared to the @ Hodaandjenna account and it's just so sad because you can tell how terribly Bush-Hager feels about this. She explains in the clip that "I said to Henry after it happened, I said, 'Do you think this is happening because right before Mila goes into middle school and that kind of funky pre-teenage time, she and I have just bonded in a way?'" she recalled.

She added, "And I know, some of y'all are just going to be like, 'It's just a cat,' but what it is watching a child's heart hurt."

People in the comments have a lot of sympathy for the family and one person said, "They are not just a CAT ever, they are apart of the family, they become a family member. Nothing wrong with the pain you guys have felt." Another added, "Cats are cats they are going to want to try & get out. Not your fault! Praying she returns!"

Bush-Hager also revealed that the family met a new little baby kitty they will be adopting, in hopes Holly will smell the new cat and return home .

In super happy news, Bush Hager posted a sweet photo of the new kitten that the family did end up adopting . The post reads, "Mila Hager's new kitten is officially home! According to JBH, there are two finalists for the kitten's potential name: Mocha Spiced Latte Hager (aka “Mo”) and Maisie Moo Hager (aka “May-May”). And while the choice is ultimately Mila's, we want to know which of the two names you like best!" Awww, congratulations to this little kitten on getting the best forever home!

What to Do if You Lose Your Cat

Losing your cat can be such a scary experience, but the good news is that according to the Pet Radar, 74% of lost cats are found . This means you've got a great chance at being reunited with your fur baby.

One thing you can do is have your cat microchipped , so that if they are lost and they end brought to a vet it can be determined that you are the actual owner. Update the information with the microchip company on a regular basis, especially if you move or change phone numbers. Make sure your cat always wears a collar with your name and contact information on it. It's also a good idea to take current photographs of your cat in case they do go missing, and photographs of you with your cat in case you need further proof of ownership.

Contact friends and family immediately , the non-emergency number of your local police department, as well as your veterinarian, your local Humane Society and Animal Shelters, and make postings on social media lost and found groups for your area.

Create flyers with your contact information plus a current photo of your pet and distribute them to local businesses and neighbors.

If your cat has a keen nose, they might be able to sniff their way back to you. Take something that smells like you, such as a worn shirt, a blanket, a toy, or a crate. Leave the items where you last saw your cat. Some people also leave out their cat's litter box in case they smell it and use that to navigate their way home.

Hopefully your cat will return home to you soon!
