If you've never had a cat who enjoyed playing in the water, it's hard to imagine those who do. However, when cats are exposed to new experiences at a young age, they can form positive associations with them. This is especially true for breeds like Maine Coons, with their adventurous personalities.

It didn't take long for these tiny kittens to turn their first water experience into a play session. Their natural curiosity made it easier for them to take the plunge, which made them even more adorable!

Watch these soggy sweethearts embracing the water in this video shared on September 3:

These tiny Maine Coon kittens (@ mainegreekgarden ) might be cute when dry but become even more precious when wet! They didn't mind getting soaked for those colorful lures and bravely hopped into the pool and tub to catch them with their giant paws. This bold breed appears fearless at this young age, so it's no wonder many grow up to be water-loving felines. The best part of this charming experience might have been the dryer fluffing up their fur at the end. Everyone snuggled so nicely together, except for one, who seemed ready to be set free or just wanted to ensure all his fur was dried evenly.

    Can All Cats Swim?

Yes, they can. Many even enjoy it, provided they are introduced at an early age and in a positive way. Even if they don't enjoy swimming, this exposure can make it easier to give them a bath , should they need one. According to Everhart Veterinary Medicine, swimming is not only potentially fun for many but can also benefit their health as it is a low-impact activity that's easy on their joints. However, just like us, cats have their own personalities, so even if they try it young, some might never enjoy spending time in the water.

People loved seeing these tiny swimmers. One person responded, "Big mittens, tiny kittens." They suggest the size they will grow to be. Another person shared, "My MCs sit out in the rain, and the boy has a habit of jumping into the shower." Ha! Their dense, water-resistant coat makes them more comfortable around water since their fur doesn't get soaked as quickly as other cats. Viewer @magunnigal reported, "My Maine Coon won't go near water, which is probably a good thing as we live a mile from a fast-flowing part of the River Clyde in Scotland." That's for sure. While dogs are often known for being water-loving, not all canines enjoy it either.

These precious kittens will undoubtedly be terrific adventure cats and wonderful companions, even if they aren't fans of the water. Which is all that pet parents could ever ask for.
