Dachshund and Pup 'Co-Worker' Have the Sweetest Office Friendship and People Are Melting

Anyone who happens to be a pet parent and works outside of the house knows just how hard it can be to say goodbye to your dog before heading to the office in the morning. They don't want you to go, you don't want to go — wouldn't life be better if our pets could go everywhere we do? That's one of the reasons that working from home is such a beloved perk to so many workers, but the next best thing (or maybe even a better option, depending on who you ask) are dog friendly workplaces.

If you're able to bring your pup to work with you, you're very lucky, and not just because it means you don't have to be separated from your BFF. It also means that they get exciting new experiences on weekdays, and that includes making friends, as we learn from the sweet Dachshund in this video.

Dog mom Luisa Nunez shared this sweet footage on TikTok, sharing what happens when she brings her Dachshund puppy , Capo, to work with her: he immediately went to look for his bestie.

"POV: My puppy and my coworker's dog get so excited to see each other at the office every day," she wrote in the video.

Sure enough, Capo is running as quickly as his little legs will carry him to find his friend, and the friend might not be who you expect! His pal seems to be some kind of Husky type breed, and even though this dog is much bigger than tiny Capo, that doesn't seem to bother either of them. The excitement between them is palpable!

While many of the comments were focused on how cute these two are together, most were talking about the fact that she's allowed to bring her dog to work. One person wrote, "Dogs at work would be the only thing that would get me to come in to the office."

It does sound like a pretty sweet perk!

    Dog-Friendly Workplaces

What "dog-friendly" means will vary from company to company, but it does seem like this is becoming more common... and it comes with a lot of perks for employees. too.

Aside from not missing your dog all day at work, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce points out that employees who bring their dogs to work are less stressed and experience a better work/life balance. Plus, pets can help foster friendships among workers, who show up ready for the day with their own little ice breaker with them.

Several large companies have adopted pet-friendly policies , including Amazon, Chewy, and Squarespace, so hopefully, that means more are on the way.

Seems like a great way to encourage employees to come to work, too. Waking up early and dealing with a commute would be totally worth it if a sea of friendly pup faces was waiting for you when you got there!
