Bernese Mountain Dogs Are Known for Being Loyal and Kind
Bernese Mountain Dogs, like the one in this video, are known for being sweet and loyal. They're also known for their beautiful coats, which are built for cold weather.
According to the American Kennel Club , three words to describe this beautiful breed include "good-natured, calm, and strong." These pups are pretty big when fully grown--up to 27.5 inches tall and 115 pounds.
"The breed is known for being particularly gentle and affectionate with children," the club explains . "They may even take it upon themselves to watch over the children, and they’re not rambunctious with them. However, given their size, they may be too big for very young kids."
These pups are described often as being "gentle giants" and they're recognizable by their size and their beautiful coats.
"Bernese Mountain Dogs are striking with their large, sturdy frame and striking tricolor coat. They have a rich black base with rust and white markings, including a white blaze on their face, a rust 'mask,' and rust paws," DogTime writes. "Their thick, double coat provides warmth and protection in cold climates."
