Adorable Dachshund Puppy Channels His Inner 'Batdog' Like the Cutest Little Superhero

My favorite holiday is Christmas, but my favorite season is fall. This time of year is when I really thrive — everything is pumpkin flavored, and the weather is nice enough to actually enjoy being outside (I know my dog likes this part best). And on top of that, the month of October also affords us plenty of opportunities to see pets dressed up in costumes... and to dress up our own pets, too, if we are lucky enough to have the ones who will allow us the honor.

But if your dog isn't into the idea of putting on a full costume, the adorable ensemble featured in the TikTok video below might work better for them. I can only imagine how many compliments this tiny Dachshund puppy received during his outing!

This video shared by @littlehercules0 shows a tiny Dachshund puppy named Hercules all decked out in his Halloween costume, looking every bit like the bat dog he is. He might be small, but I certainly wouldn't want to mess with him!

He's trotting down the street with so much confidence as his bat flings wobble alongside him, and by the time he's close to the camera, it's easy to see that he's also wearing a cozy pumpkin sweater, too. This little dude is ready for anything!

It seems like he's really loving his outfit, too, according to what Hercules' mom wrote in the caption of the video. "Took our little Batman for his first ever walk outside today and he loves his bat wings."

As he should — he looks amazing in them!

It doesn't matter who his competition might be. If this dog enters any costume contests this year, there's no way he doesn't win!

Halloween Costumes for Picky Dogs

If you have a dog who isn't super agreeable to clothing and may not enjoy spending the holiday in a full costume, these bat wings are a great idea — and they're not the only option out there, especially if you're willing to think outside the box.

For example, Daily Paws points out that your pup may be happier wearing a harness that has elements of a costume added to it, which is something you can do at home if you're crafty (think spikes for a dinosaur, or attaching a cape for a superhero). The site also suggests just adding the famous heart shaped Ty tag to their collar to show off your own little Beanie Baby.

And if all else fails, a cute Halloween-themed bandana or collar will help make them look a bit more festive for the occasion.

Not all dogs love costumes, and that's okay, and it also doesn't meant that they'll be anti-costume forever. Who knows — they might decide next year they're all in!
