Siberian Cat's 'Subtle Foreshadowing' Shows the Most Epic Fail & It's Perfection

Cats can't not get themselves into trouble. It's what they do best and alludes to why they supposedly have nine lives. Nimbus, the Siberian cat, is probably on his ninth and final life after a jump that went sideways and the end result is so very cat-like.

Nimbus probably won't win any stuntman awards after this miscalculated leap that sends him flying. Watch him go!

The "subtle foreshadowing" really makes the fall that much sweeter (and mortifying for him), but he should've known better. Thankfully, Nimbus's pet parents @nimbus_siberian grabbed a camera. Quick thinking! After carefully assessing the distance between the curious kitty and the oven hood, Nimbus clearly had a lapse in judgement once in the air. This should be the go-to commercial for Cats Gone Wild.

Nimbus may be known for his epic zoomies, but also now this: the most iconic, courageous picture of taking a risk. Even if you fail, you'll entertain a whole internet full of fans. Many of which are getting a real kick out of the cat's bad decision.

"Nimbus: time for attempt number 174," one person wrote.

"Top 10 most horrific Nascar crashes caught on film," another said.

"The embarrassed scurry away," another added.

Despite failing, Nimbus is still a winner in our book!

A Look at the 'Cats Have 9 Lives' Myth

With how danger-prone cats can be, you'd think they should have more than one life! The origins of the 9 lives myth actually dates back to the Egyptians. Hill's Pet Nutrition explains the myth of 9 lives which may have started with Egyptians who considered cats as "divine creatures with supernatural powers." They even reference a goddess named Bastet who's said to have shape shifted to a cat and back to human again, which is pretty cool (and totally something a cat would do)!

As for the mystical number "9," it's a significant number in numerology as well as in the the ancient proverb that says:"A cat has nine lives. For three he plays, for three he strays, and for the last three he stays." Other cultures say cats have 6 or 7 lives, depending on geography, but in the end, the commonality is that cats live more than once in a lifetime.

One glance at Nimbus or any other cat and it's easy to see they take little care in how risky their decision may be, as if hinging on the idea that if something happens, it's fine because they have more lives left.

It's a very interesting theory! In any event, Nimbus lives to jump another day!
