Lambchops are a classic. Almost every dog in the world knows about Lambchops, colloquially known as "Lambies." They make Lambies for every season, and most occasions, even if they have nothing to do with dogs.

The dogs that love their Lambies really love their Lambies, and it's very obvious. Just look at this video from October 10th, when one Golden Retriever got caught sharing a moment with his own Lambie that was too sweet to pass up:

I think I'm starting an official petition for Kevin's dad to change the TikTok username from @aguyandagolden to @aguyandagoldenandalambchop. TikTok doesn't have a character limit on their usernames, right?

This pair has taken TikTok by storm: since their first post in 2021 (which got 2 million views itself), they've amassed over 8 million followers and a combined total of 314 million likes on TikTok alone. Through the years, they've done a lot together, from decorating to holidays to throwing parties.

Behind that TikTok star, though, is a Golden Retriever, and Golden Retrievers do not have the ability to not play. Sometimes Kevin just needs to chill out, hold his Lambchop up like it's a sweet human baby, and get called cute for it. He's living the life. Let him be!

Why Are Lambchops Such a Staple?

If a store sells more than two dog toys, you can almost guarantee that one of them is a Lambchop. They make them in a billion varieties, and they range in size, color, and theme. At this very moment, you can walk into a pet store and purchase a Halloween Lambie and a Christmas one to store away until December.

Lambies are genuinely just an optimal toy for most dogs because:

    1. They're pretty durable.
    2. They have a decent squeaker.
    3. They have limbs (which we call "limbies" in this house) perfect for tug-of-war or group dog play.
    4. They're not too stuffed, so they're easy to hold in their mouths.
    5. They have a variety of textured fabrics on them, great for sensory stimulation.

Humans love Lambies, too. They're cute, they're easy to find in the stores in the event of a tragedy, and compared to other options, they're pretty affordable. That's how I look at Lambies, too!
