Dachshund's Happy Little Hops Upon Seeing Mom's Best Friend Couldn't Be Sweeter

When it comes to how much we love our dogs, the limit simply does not exist. So much of the joy and warm and fuzzy feelings come with being able to interact with our pups and seeing how much love they give us right back... but in a lot of cases, some of that joy also comes with seeing the way they love the other people in our lives. It's not just the others who live under the same roof with the dog, either; sometimes, the love a dog can have for their parents' friends can be just as sweet.

And for the Dachshund in the TikTok video below, all of that love is being aimed at her mom's BFF, who gets the kind of warm greeting that anyone would love to have.

In this footage shared by @darcie_theminidaschund , we get to see the way a sweet Mini Dachshund pup, Darcie, reacts when she sees her mom's best friend walking down the sidewalk.

"POV: Your dog loves your best friend as much as you do," Darcie's mom wrote in the video, adding in the caption,  "We all need someone that loves you this much."

The second that Darcie (who is wearing a very fashionable sweater, might I add) spots her mom's BFF in the distance, her tail starts wagging and she takes off. This is a tiny dog, but she sure is full of a lot of excitement!

The feeling most certainly seems to be mutual, because Mom's BFF is just as happy to see Darcie. Talk about a warm welcome!

She did end up peeing a little out of her excitement (the Doxie, not the friend) but at least she was outside. It happens to the best of us!

Do Mini Dachshunds make good pets?

Seeing all the joy and excitement that Darcie is filled with makes it easy to want to welcome one of these tiny creatures into your life. But just know ahead of time that these are pups with big personalities — and sometimes they come with big attitudes to match!

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), Doxies are tiny but bold animals . While pups like Darcie will only grow to be a maximum of 11 pounds, they are often very much the main character with plenty of sass and a touch of stubbornness. They will offer you plenty of love and keep you laughing, though.

They will need a moderate amount of exercise though — a walk or two a day should do it — since they will need strong muscles in those tiny legs!

And of course, with a Doxie, you'll have a very loyal friend. Who could imagine receiving that kind of greeting every day?
