Mornings are rough, especially when the sound of an annoying alarm clock is the thing waking you. If you're cat mom to blind Persian, Moet, rising for the day begins with the kitty's gentlest squeak and it's too adorable.

Moet should be a national treasure by how sweet she is. Being blind hasn't set her back from doing anything—including getting mom up for the day! Take a look!

I'm obsessed with @moettheblindcat and I'm not afraid to say it! This sassy little sweetheart melted me the moment I first saw her and I know I'm not alone. Between her delicate paw taps for food and the gifts she brings her mom, Moet is an angel, sent from above. The September 14 clip of Moet as her mom's alarm proves it!

The kitty, who lost her eyes after catching a cat flu in an unregulated shop, got adopted into her forever home in 2014 just after that surgery. Moet also has a similar-looking fur sister, who is also blind, named Chandie who joined the family in 2022.

With 1.4 million followers, Moet is somewhat of a celebrity. She's mindful and demure and people are in love, just stopping by to show their love and support through emojis and words of affirmation like "precious baby," and "beautiful cat!" I agree!

Why Your Cat Wakes You Up at Specific Times

No doubt cats are creatures of habit. Like dogs, they know when it's time for their morning breakfast or their nightly treats based on the regularity of what happens each day. Time means nothing to them, which is why they might poke and prod at you at 4 a.m. for pets or because they think it's time to eat!

According to Catster, your cat might wake you up because they're hungry, it's just the time they naturally wake, they crave attention, are bored, or are just generally unhappy with something (like if the litter box needs cleaned).

While feeding them on schedule will help cut out the super early wake-ups, there's not much you can do about when their body tells them to wake up aside from placing a cat bed next to yours in hopes of getting a little more shuteye.

If attention or boredom is an issue, begin dedicating regular time with them each day and providing plenty of mentally stimulating toys to at least get them to wait until the right time to wake you.

Spoiler alert: These tips won't work with an impossibly adorable blind Persian like Moet because you should get up right away and give that cutie everything she wants!
