Great Dane Lovingly Admiring Newborn Baby After 9 Months of Waiting Is Everything

For some dogs, adding a new tiny human to the family can be a really tough adjustment, especially if they happen to be only dogs. Sharing your parents' attention with a baby who seems to take over the house and can be very loud sometimes isn't exactly ideal for all pups, especially older dogs who tend to be stuck in their ways. But then, there are the magic moments like this one in this TikTok video, when it seems like they were simply made to be an older sibling.

After seeing this footage below, there is no doubt in my mind that this Great Dane knows that this baby is supposed to be her future best friend. That long wait while Mom was pregnant must have been so worth it!

On Sunday, October 20, mom Chloe Talbert shared the absolute sweetest footage of her Great Dane , Daphne, finally getting to spend time with his new baby brother after waiting nine months to meet him. Is it just me, or is this a classic example of love at first sight?

This newborn baby boy is laying on a blanket on the floor, and Daphne ever so gently lays her head near his, just to be close to him. She's a total natural at this!

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also waiting nine months for this sweet moment," Chloe wrote in her caption. "I can't wait to watch their relationship grow."

Commenters are just as obsessed as I am with these two. One person wrote, "it's so kind of you to have a baby so your dog has a best friend." It really is!

Daphne & Her Babies

When Daphne's mom says she's been waiting nine months for the baby to be born, she really means it!

In earlier videos, she shared that her pup was really in tune with her pregnancy, right form the very beginning. Here, you can see that Daphne was stuck to her mom like glue from the time that she got that positive pregnancy test, keeping a close eye on her and that baby bump like her life depended on it.

Chloe also shared the sweet moment that Daphne got to meet the baby for the first time while he was in his crib, and yes, it is just as heartwarming as you'd expect!

Fortunately, Daphne did have some practice with little ones before the new baby made his arrival. There's a toddler in the family already, along with a puppy named Millie, so Daphne really has been training for this for awhile!

I can't wait to see more videos from this family as their new baby continues to grow. Something tells me Daphne might just be his soul dog!
