M-28 rest stop to close for repairs
SENEY, MI— A rest area on the Seney Stretch will close temporarily at the end of the month. The facility on M-28 is due to shut down for repaving and parking lot repairs on Monday, July 29. The project is expected to be completed and the rest area reopened by Friday, August 2.
40th annual Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium underway in Grand Marais
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - For 40 years the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium has focused on community, adventure and learning in Grand Marais. The symposium includes five days of instruction, food, live music and of course, kayaking. Doug Neal is the assistant director of the symposium. He said they’ve had a record number of people sign up from across the country this year.
New shop to honor Wishing Well Gifts in Iron Mountain
