Paradise Valley Police Department Corporal Curtis Jensen was recognized with an award at the 35th annual Law Enforcement Recognition Banquet at the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler June 28.

Chief Freeman Carney and Sergeant Michael Unger also attended the event, according to PVPD’s CrimeWatch website. This is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Mother’s Against Drunk Driving’s signature opportunity to honor law enforcement officers, first responders and court personnel who diligently work to support the shared mission to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.

For 2023, Corporal Jensen led the department in DUI arrests, the news release stated. His dedication and hard work have significantly contributed to keeping the roads safer and reducing the number of alcohol and drug-related accidents in the community.

Jensen’s efforts also exemplify PVPD’s commitment to proactive policing and community safety. MADD’s recognition at the banquet underscores the importance of vigilance and enforcement in the fight against impaired driving.
